Homes For Veterans Mission Statement:

Homes for Veterans modifies the homes of veterans for free.

We are a 501(c)(3) charitable veterans organization.

Doug DiPaola

As a local Bergen County New Jersey business man and home builder Doug came across veterans who are victims of the economy ~ veterans from his own industry losing their apartments after being laid off and their unemployment benefits running out.

These veterans had to move in with friends or relatives. The disabled veterans have more of a problem. There is no adequate handicapped housing. As the economy improves some are able to work, but to afford a home or even find handicapped housing that will accommodate them is practically impossible.

Joanne DiPaola

Joanne is a local Bergen County New Jersey elementary school teacher. Joanne has involved herself with our service men and women by having her third grade classes write letters and send them along with other items to the troops on the ground.

“It’s a wonderful way to let them know they are always in our hearts and minds, and thank them for giving so much to protect us. Homes For Veterans will allow me to continue to support these wonderful men and women.”

Francesca DiPaola – Fundraiser Coordinator

Francesca attended Marymount Manhattan College and received a BFA in Acting. She is a working actress and singer. She works in all aspects of performance including, film, television, stage and radio.

Inspired by her family’s dedication to the veterans, she wanted to raise awareness and be a leader for her generation in helping with the cause. She recently took charge of our 1st Annual Summer Fundraiser event, which was a huge success!

“I am beyond grateful for the men and women who have fought and are currently fighting for my freedom. Supporting them while they are deployed is equally as important as helping them when they return home. Raising funds for Homes For Veterans is the least I can do to show how thankful I am to sleep soundly at night.”

Maureen McCullough – Marketing Director

Maureen is a Jersey girl through and through. An original member of Homes For Veterans, Doug approached Maureen to design the website, and she has been an enthusiastic supporter ever since.

“I consider it a distinct honor to be able to help Doug and Homes For Veterans – such a worth while cause and a great way to give back to the men and women who have sacrificed so much for our way of life and for our freedom. I look forward to taking Homes For Veterans to new heights so that they may be able to accomplish so much more for our veterans.”

Maureen is a longtime Bergen County business owner. She owns Maureen McCullough LLC, a website design and marketing agency.
